Sarah Wells named Employee of the Year for 2014
The team at Keyfuels are delighted to announce that Sarah Wells has been named as its Employee of the Year for 2014, after 14 years of service with the company.
Sarah joined Keyfuels in November 2001 in a Data Entry role in the company’s Business Services Dept. Following 12-months in this role, she moved over to Site Services where she dealt with queries from sites and provided support in the sites reconciliation process.
In 2004, Sarah was promoted within the Keyfuels team once more, this time to work on the IT Help Desk. Three years later, in 2007, she took up a new role as part of Keyfuels’ Technical Operations and was quickly promoted to the position of Team Leader a year later.
In early 2014, Sarah’s experience within the company and in-depth knowledge of the industry was rewarded with a move into a new role of QA Manager; a role where she has responsibility for Keyfuels’ IT development, product development and training, and its system processes.
Delighted with news of her award, Sarah revealed some of her highlights of her 14 years with the company: “It’s really an honour to be recognised for my work within Keyfuels, and for what I have been able to play a part in and what we have achieved as a company.
“One of the main highlights in 2014 was completely refreshing Keyfuels’ Business Continuity Processes to cover all aspects of the business and how we would manage and continue to support our customers and merchants in the case of a disaster. Also, working on a new system for our customers to allow them to better control how their cards can be used in the network via our website, which will be launched later in 2015.”
Sarah is a hugely valued member of the Keyfuels team and has a wealth of technical expertise and knowledge. She is always willing to get stuck in and apply her problem solving skills to a whole range of issues to assist her colleagues and our customers.
Sarah’s wider responsibilities include assisting and providing support at every point from design stage to User Acceptance Testing for all changes made in the Keyfuels system; covering key operational processes out of hours and over the weekend along with the rest of the team and colleagues in the IT Infrastructure Department. Sarah also provides third line support for technical queries into the business.
