Employee of 2013 – Winner
Martin joined Keyfuels in August 2007 as a Diesel Desk Administrator. His main duties included assisting the team with day-to-day operations, such as ensuring customers and sites have stock, co-ordinating small supply and managing low stock and transfers.
In 2011, Martin moved to the Stocks Department, as a Stock Controller where he was responsible for site reporting, resolving site queries and site reconciliation.
As he continued to grow into the role, Martin took responsibility for several key projects in 2012, supporting Brian McKee, Manager of Sites & Supply. Martin now manages a project that requires increasing visibility in manual transaction reporting and invoicing, as well as reviewing and testing the process for invoice query resolution.
In addition, he’s also developing his knowledge of the fuel purchasing process, with a view to offer more support to Brian McKee and Ben Norman, who currently manage fuel purchasing.
Adding more strings to his bow, Martin recently became a Health and Safety Representative for Keyfuels following completion of an IOSH course, which he now puts into full effect at the company’s Walsall HQ.
Brian McKee, Manager of Sites & Supply, said: “Martin plays an important role in the team and always demonstrates the core values associated with Keyfuels. He has an excellent approach to his work and always looks to go the extra mile. He also has a great sense of humour and is a well-liked member of the team.”
Employee of 2013 – Runner Up
Naomi joined Keyfuels in December 2008 as an Administrator on the Diesel Desk. Her main responsibilities included assisting the team with day-to-day operations; ensuring customers and sites have stock; co-ordinating small supply and managing low stock and transfers.
In 2010, Naomi joined in the management of the Moto account, assisting Ben Norman, Stocks Manager, with a raft of duties associated with running the Moto managed site estate. This initial involvement developed into her current role where she is now responsible for ordering 150 million litres of fuel each year and for the full management of the Moto network.
Naomi was seconded to the Merchant Services team in 2013, where she assisted Network Services Representative, Sarah Lees, with bringing on over 250 new sites onto the Keyfuels network. This new role required her to quickly develop her knowledge of site management and become proficient in site training. Naomi’s also attended several Forecourt and Fuel exhibitions during 2012/2013, and will continue to do so throughout 2014.
The knowledge Naomi has acquired during her time at Keyfuels, including the 12 months spent in the Merchants Services team, equipped her with the tools to effectively rewrite the training manuals for new sites, as well as two specific manuals for Rontec and MRH sites.
Brian McKee, Manager of Sites & Supply, commented on her progression through the company:
“In the last 12-months, Naomi has demonstrated both professionalism and a genuine desire to learn. She’s taken on several new challenging roles and has quickly become a proficient site trainer whilst also developing her fuel management skills on the Moto network.
“Naomi has shown great determination and is keen to develop her skills even further. She is a true asset to both the team and the company.”
